What's a Schooling Show?
A Western schooling show is a low-pressure, instructional horse show environment focused on training, skill-building, and introducing riders and green horses to competition. These budget-friendly local shows feature standard Western classes like pleasure, horsemanship, and trail without the high stakes or expensive attire of major breed circuits.
Core Characteristics

-
Attire and Tack: Neat, clean Western wear and standard working tack are required, but heavy silver saddles and custom show clothes are optional.
-
Open Accessibility: Open to all riding levels, youth, amateurs, and various horse breeds or ponies.
