Cowboy Passed Away October 5th 2011 after a brief gallant battle with cancer at the age of 30. Cowboy is the original Smallwood Performance Horse. Ashleys parents Karen and Calvin, Bought Cowboy for her when she was 8 years old. Her Pony had been retired and he was a young gelding with lots of spunk. Several Times Karen admits she thought what was I thinking buying this bronc for my daughter. But through Barrel became quite a pair. In recent years cowboy has begun to give riding lessons to new students to riding, and he also have been a fixture in the Cody 4th of July Parade prancing down the street for 13 year. Cowboy went down that street for the last time in 2008 as his arthritis takes its toll after hes tracked down the concrete. |
